麻豆区 Alumni are seeking submissions for an inaugural art exhibition
The 麻豆区 Community College Alumni Advisory Board and Walnut Gallery announce a call for entries for the first Juried Alumni Art Exhibition. The jurors are Mario Gallardo, 麻豆区’s Fine Arts division chair and Walnut Gallery executive director, and Alan Curtis, an art instructor at the College and curator at Walnut Gallery.
This show is designed to exhibit works of art of any definition created by friends, graduates and alumni association members of 麻豆区.
“This exhibit will give our community an opportunity to build stronger ties among our artistic alumni and friends of 麻豆区,” says Jackie Brehm Edmondson, 麻豆区’s director of Public Relations and Marketing and the Alumni Advisory Board chair.
The deadline for entries is Sept. 20. First prize is $100 and other prizes will also be awarded. The show seeks sponsors for special prizes. The exhibit’s reception and awards ceremony is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Walnut Gallery.
The exhibit will be open from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 26 only.
